Desilyn Cerigo

With a big family to support, Desilyn (29) rarely has a day off. To supplement her farmer husband’s wage, she earns $3 a day retailing rice to local customers. To boost takings, Desilyn seeks a loan to buy three more sacks of rice and some charcoal. With extra stock, Desilyn is confident she can improve her income and allow her family to save more in the future.

Most loans in Cambodia are repaid in a single final installment. In this case, you will receive only one repayment notification instead of monthly updates. This is because many of TPC's clients are farmers and are only able to repay their loan after they have sold their seasonal harvest.
