Luz Gargaritano

At 70, Luz still works, selling fish in her village to earn about $10 a day. She would like to boost her trade, and seeks a loan to buy fish in bulk, and wholesale to other hawkers. By changing her business model in this way, Luz could double her daily income. Looking ahead, she hopes one day to have her own stall in the local town market.

I lend because my mother and rest of relatives also came from poor families. I am supportive of people who work hard and find opportunities to better themselves vs. just relying on dole-outs.
